3) One in six women will be sexually assaulted in their lifetime and 68% of those victims are assaulted by someone they know. In this episode Paige and Gretchen speak with Daisy Whitney, author and host of the New Media Minute, about her new book which addresses the topic of date rape. In Daisy’s book, “The Mockingbirds,” her lead character Alex is date raped by a fellow classmate, but she still finds the courage to stand up for herself and fights back against her attacker.
